About The Old Mill Ruins

About The Old Mill RuinsAs a child Gary Rideout spent many summers here and loved the area, so much that he returned often while living in other parts of North America. Upon pursuing retirement from the military Gary and his wife Joan began the dream that Gary had always had of once again returning to Newfoundland and owning this property.

For a long time Gary reflected on the natural beauty and uniqueness of the property and he envisioned refining those qualities into an experience that others could appreciate. Joan followed in those pursuits and used her interior design career as a way of injecting her vision into The Old Mill Ruins project. Together they have created an experience unbeknownst to the Notre Dame Bay area and vicinity.

Now, having created, designed and built this beautiful setting they required an experienced crew to operate The Old Mill Ruins. Joan and Gary's vision was always of a family operation and thus their son, Trevor Rideout and his wife, Kendra left the prosperous province of Alberta to embark on this career enhancing and lifestyle adventure to Campbellton, Newfoundland.

As Manager of the Bistro & Accommodations, you will find Kendra's and Trevor's combined attention to detail most evident in this rustic yet modern atmosphere. For an experience truly unique and inspiring we invite you to visit The Old Mill Ruins. We'll be busy preparing for your arrival.
